Anti-Valentine's Day!

Valentine's day??!!! What the hell is this?? This day do not worth any value in my religion and I am proud to say that I belong to a religion of "ISLAM". The religion of integrity, respect, true love and co-operation on that which is good and righteous.

As 14th February is coming soon I would like to divert your attention towards an important stuff... The celebration of the so-called feast of love (Valentine's day) has become widespread among our youth. You will find dates and couples everywhere in the parks, restaurants, malls and the list goes on.... I do not have a single clue that why my nation's youth is madly interested in such type of inept stuff..!!??

Valentine's day has nothing to do with Islam, thereby it should also have nothing to do with Muslims. But in spite of this nowadays young girls and boys are fooling around without having any idea of the weight of sins they are carrying and the result they are going to get..!!

Our religion has stated explicit rules regarding love, affection, respect and honor. But in spite of all these there are some boundaries defined as well... The boundaries which help us to lead a respected and honorable life... The boundaries which clears the difference between good and bad, pure and impure, true and false...!! So my advice to all of you is don't be a fool with the fools. It's a western cheap festival not ours..!!

We should develop our own dignity as a Muslim, a true follower. Be the reason of uplifting great, shining and Holy principles of Islam, if can't, no need to be a reason of embarrassment either...!!!

May Almighty let us follow the real teachings of beloved Islam till the last breath....!!! Ameen!!

  7. I disagree...

The way your college and university has notghing to do with islam, the way, there is no Medical, Engineering and Accounting in Islam. The way there are no birthdays and anniversaries in Islam, same way "Velentine's Day" is not listed among the 5 pillers of Islam. (Kalma, Namaz, Roza, Zakat, Hajj).

So there is nothing un-islamic in celebrating valentines day... unless you commit shirk etc. etc.

    2. why not your collage and univ isnt in Islam it surely is. you would have to think broad in that aspect. Shirk is not the only gunnah its gunnah e kabira but all that is being done in the name of dis valentines day is sin and its punishable

  8. SORRY but i totally DISAGREE with ur thoughts as u specified only one point.. dates or couples u will find 365days a year... u cant blame that on a single day.. VALENTINE'S DAY can be specified to MARRIED couples if they dont have any specific day to celebrate they can show there love on that day and thats allowed in ISLAM. and i totally agree with SHUAIB.. as far as ISLAM is concern.. so ISLAM doesnt allow a girl to talk to a guy or a guy to a girl... there are so many things u should stop first before bycotting from VALENTINES day.

    cheers!

    4. let me tell u one thing very clearly .. u mentioned dating and all ok.. on that point trust me u will find less dates on VALENTINES DAY whereas any other day .. cuz everyone's family is fimiliar with this date and ppl restrict there children by going out on this specific day.. it actually cut down amount of dates and bad thing and couples u find everywhere. and by adopting western culture u can go with the world but keeping urself in limit.. before getting ISLAM into this! tell me dont u talk to guyz?? thats haram in ISLAM .. y not u take the first step for a gud cause ??? thanks
      cheers!

  9. i agree with the author in one sense that in islam there is no sense of Valentines Day. as the history of valentines day depict the fact that muslims have nothing to do with valentines day. At least if we can not stop all this we should not support it. as
    Quran says
"You should try to stop it by your heart and this is the symbol of weakest Emaan"
As far as married couples are concerned they can show their love to each other every day every second because they are made Halal on each other with the strong bond of NIKAH .they dont need a day.

  17. Well no one can deny the fact that celebrating valentine's day is un-islamic but we cannot deny the fact that we as a nation are greatly inspired by the western culture, its not just that we are celebrating valentine's day we are celebrating hundred other days as well.. most importantly mother's day .!! Well to be honest there's no need for mothers day as well as far as we seek guidance from our religion it clearly states that we have to respect our parents throughout our life and therefore celebrating just a single day sounds totally unislamic too.!!!

The biggest hypocrite in our society is electronic media which on one side celebrates valentines day and on the other side goes to public parks with cameras and danda bardar aunties to haunt couples..!!

    Good article,
    Thumbs up!!!

  20. Agreed with the idea !.. And also with the comment of Savvy that we should not just restrict our love and affection for just one day .. It should be carried through out our whole life within the prescribed limits of Islam
